The Role: This is an opportunity for a knowledgeable finance professional with a background in accounting to assume a key financial role in a best-in-class organization 60+ years in existence.
As a Staff Accountant with Savills, you will work cross-functionally with other members of the finance department assisting with various reporting requirements and projects. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare the Company’s monthly consolidated financial statements by:
Calculating and posting various types of journal entries
Completing bank and other general ledger reconciliations
Analyze a significant volume of transaction documents for proper revenue recognition and timely processing in our systems
Review operations reports and obtain feedback from field offices for use in analytics
Create new vendor profiles within Accounts Payable module including verification of W-9 information in accordance with Company policy
Interact with other Finance teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury and management at our field offices
Assist with projects assigned to the reporting group from our parent company
Assist with year-end financial audit and internal audits
Assist with the implementation of new ERP technologies
Other ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
1-2 years of experience
Must have knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Solid verbal and written skills
Be deadline oriented with an attention to detail
