Operations Associate and Analyst Positions
Policy Research and Evaluation Department
MDRC is seeking Operations Associates and Analysts to join our nationally recognized and highly respected public policy research organization. We are seeking candidates who are interested in blending programmatic expertise with strong research and analytic skills. Positions are open across our five policy areas: , , , , and . We are currently recruiting for multiple positions and will tailor positions to candidates’ specific content interests and areas of expertise.

Responsibilities:

Operations staff have the unusual opportunity to work as part of multidisciplinary teams on current social policy issues in a dynamic and challenging environment. Operations Associates and Analysts participate in the start-up, site recruitment, and program development for major national demonstrations; work with teams to manage, monitor, and evaluate various initiatives; and help provide technical assistance to program staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree with social science background is preferred
  • Experience working in a management position in relevant social service or educational fields (e.g., workforce development, asset-building, youth services, K-12 education, etc.)
  • Experience providing technical assistance to local organizations
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work with diverse program teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as analytical ability
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to work in diverse communities and the ability to relate to program management staff, site staff, community residents, and program clients
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
